Myles and Alex decided to up sticks and make the 60-mile move from Wolverhampton to Pilsley. We spoke to the couple about their experiences of relocating and being among the first homeowners to move into The Hedgerows.

We decided to move a few years ago. I was working in Coventry, while Myles worked from home. Given the high cost of living where we were, we looked further afield and The Hedgerows in Pilsley caught our eye.

We explored various areas within an hour’s drive of Wolverhampton, so we could stay fairly close to family and friends. We were looking for a home with enough space for a home office and a guest room. We chose the Greenfinch, a three-bed semi-detached property, and we’re thrilled with it. We’re both into interior design, and the team at Forge has done a fantastic job.

We’ve had a fantastic experience here

Moving to Pilsley was definitely a smart move. We love the unique features of our home, like the built-in porch, and the attention to detail from Forge has made our home stand out. We moved in December 2022, and with only one other property occupied at that time, and quickly became friends with the team – especially Toby, the head of sales at Forge.

We’ve had a fantastic experience here, and the minimal issues we had were resolved quickly. So much so, we’re already looking at Forge’s new development in Bolsover – we’re definitely Forge fans!

We’re impressed with the quality of the finishes. We chose to add our own style with black, green, and pink accents, and we’ve worked on our garden to make it our own. We’ve made great friends with some of the neighbours, and enjoy socialising at home and in the garden.

The Hedgerows is perfectly located for us. We love spending time in Chesterfield, exploring its bars and restaurants. We really can’t recommend this development – and Forge – enough.
